FREE Open house on January 18, 2022! Are you interested in personal enrichment, professional development or educational travel? You are invited to learn about our programs on January 18, 2022. This is a FREE event that is open to the public. Registration is not required. Location : UWO Fox Cities Campus Room : 1130 Date : Tuesday, January 18, 2022 Time : 11 am – 12 noon Join the fun! Take a blank canvas and create a polished painting in one session. No artistic ability is required – anyone can do it! Ona by Design is co-hosting for this opportunity with UW Oshkosh Continuing Education for three painting classes. Instructor Ona Srubas will teach you how to paint a masterpiece. Classes are held atBecket's, and participants have the option to order beverages and appetizers to enjoy while painting. Cost includes supplies and instruction. Dates : Mondays 2/28, 3/28, 4/25, 2022 Time : 6pm, classes take 2 ½ - 3 hours Location : Becket's 2 Jackson St, Oshkosh Trips are available to anyone who loves to explore. Fee : $2,250 (based on double occupancy). Fee subject to change based on airfare and other unanticipated increases in 2022. Add $650 for single occupancy. Spend nine adventure-filled days with a group of likeminded travelers to experience tropical Costa Rica in November 2022. This program is offered by UW Oshkosh Continuing Educational Travel and is available for anyone who likes to explore and travel.  Cost: $1,998 (based on double occupancy) and may change based on airfare and travel related expenses. (Add $400 for single occupancy.) Challenge yourself physically and unplug mentally as you spend six days paddling a pristine wilderness with 1200 miles of canoe routes and more than 2000 individual campsites. Price includes transportation from Fox Cities Campus, food, and equipment. Personal gear excluded. Cost : $800 The trip to Portugal in May, 2022 is sold out. Adolescent Health Symposium Virtual Feb. 17-18, 2022 The annual Adolescent Health Symposium unites educators, youth workers, and health and human service professionals to discuss key topics on adolescent wellness and education. Hear from three keynote presenters about important youth issues. Breakout sessions will focus on youth risk factors, health promotion and protective factors and emerging health issues. Fit at Fox started January 3rd, but courses continue through April 16th. Sign up now to get in shape for 2022! A punch card with 10 classes is available for $65. Wellness Wednesdays Lunch-Hour Series February Spotlight: Learn Something NEW! Retirement Planning Fundamentals focuses on how to prepare for a comfortable retirement. This course introduces you strategies for day-to-day finances, taxes, and investments.  Date : Wednesdays, 2/26, 2/2, 2/9 Time: 6 – 8:30 p.m. Location : Virtual Fee : $99 per individual or couple if registered by January 12; $119 per individual or couple after January 12 Social Worker and Professional Counselor Workshops Northeast Wisconsin Suicide Prevention Virtual Summit Thursday, April 14, 2022 Bring hope to those impacted by suicide and increase your understanding of suicide. Learn how to identify risk factors and review appropriate ways to respond. Breakout sessions will include speakers who focus on at-risk populations, crisis intervention, the connections between addiction and suicide, and other related topics. Grandparents University brings grandparents and grandchildren together for a meaningful educational experience. The program is designed for kids aged 8–12 and if fun, educational, and creates long lasting memories. The two-day program is scheduled for July 14 and 15, 2022. Registration will open soon. Discover Firefighting Academy is for students grades 9-12 to explore the life of a firefighter! In partnership with the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Discover Firefighting Academy provides basic and advanced training for students in grades 9-12. Get hands-on experiences performing tasks and training exercises with local firefighters and emergency medical technicians. Register HERE:
